China Photovoltaic Industry Briefing: From January to November, the installed photovoltaic capacity reached 163.8 kilowatts.
The National Energy Administration of China stated that in the first 10 months of this year, China installed 163 gigawatts of solar energy, and by the end of November, the cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity was close to 560 gigawatts.
The National Energy Administration of China stated that as of the end of November, China's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity has reached 560 gigawatts. In the first 11 months of this year, the country added 163.88 gigawatts of photovoltaic systems, and deployed 21.32 gigawatts in November alone. As of the end of June, China's newly installed solar energy capacity reached 78.42 gigawatts. At the same time, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) stated that it is expected that the new photovoltaic power generation in 2023 will reach 180 gigawatts. The association attributes this higher than expected growth to the thriving utility scale market, where many large national wind energy storage projects are expected to be connected to the grid soon.
